So, our family WhatsApp U's group last night realised there might be a spooky coincidence looming.
Last night was our fourth clean sheet in a row, and as I mentioned on the other thread, the last time we achieved that was remarkably nearly 27 years ago in the 1997/98 season under Steve Wignall.
What's also notable about the 1997/98 season? The last time we achieved promotion out of League 2, and the last time we appeared at Wembley.
So pleased that we took advantage of the fact our game was postponed on Saturday by playing a very strong team. A good, professional performance resulted in a comfortable home win and another clean sheet. Great for Lyle to get minutes and goals and Bishop to get a start. Whisper it quietly but we're starting to look like a team...
