OFFS, my post wasn’t a cry for attention, no one was supposed to reply. It was just me having the common decency of replying to GH and saying goodbye as I slipped away quietly. We are poles apart on how we see the issue and I can’t be arsed to argue anymore, because it’s pointless. I expect that given time, my self-righteousness may fade, but in the meantime I’m on extended gardening leave. Just for the record, as far as I’m concerned, Sparks is a Col U legend for many reasons and over the years U’s supporters don’t get more genuine than him. I thank him for taking the time to share his thoughts with me, sometimes I chose to read them, sometimes I didn’t. [Post edited 29 Nov 10:15]

Days 1-3 sold out at the Gabbatoir, but plenty of tickets left for day 4, if you're silly point short of a field placing! https://www.cricket.com.au/tickets/match/CA:21889 Day/night game where it swings like mad, the Aussies must be fighting over who's going to bowl and who plays in the slips. In the same way the FA Cup is just an inconvenience to the Prem teams, test matches and the Ashes have had their day, as the money men chase the masses who just want T20 and 100 pantomime cricket. It's the arrogance of the English management that gets me. We can just turn up at the Ashes with no proper preparation and just smack it out of the park. The 'has-beens' know nothing, it's a different game now, FFS. Every time they open their mouths they show how stupid they are. We thought 200 would be enough on this pitch! Well 300-350 would have been considerably better you clowns. It's the way we play, putting pressure on the other team! FFS How much pressure does throwing your wicket away put on your opponents? Who gives a shit about run rates in a test? Let their bowlers huff and puff all day for a wicket. Every dot ball is another ache and pain at the end of the day for the bowler. Starc must be feeling 21 again after that match, he barely had time to get warmed up. Stokes is just going to be the fall guy for the plonkers who are too blind to see the obvious. Playing bazball in a test is like getting into the ring in a world title fight, with no preparation and hoping you can knock the champ out in the first round with a haymaker. It's unlikely, but it might work, in the unlikely event that it does it will be spectacular, but it's disrespectful to the sport and to the fans. [Post edited 23 Nov 11:47]

Yes, only 3 points off of a play-off spot now, but this doesn't mean much if we can't put Cheltenham to the sword, and then Gillingham, who have gone right off the boil. |

1-1 HT Despite riding our luck a little, we are still in this. Big 45 to come, I'd take the draw at the moment. Flanagan off injured is a worry. |
