I think we’re actually more suited to play against the better teams. We’re a counter attacking side packed with short, fast attackers. When teams like that come to park the bus, we’ll beat them, but we aren’t going to blow them away. I’d expect Lichtenstein at home to be similar.

North Macedonia away may come at us a bit more. That would suit us.

Me and builthy are on the plane from Manchester to Geneva then onto pristina.

I totally agree with you, we aren't blessed with many decent skilful attackers and midfielders but we have quite a few with pace, which is something you can't teach, what bellamy can teach is skill.

I am quite confident that we can get something in skopje.

I think you are correct, we really struggled last night. And we don't seem to have a plan b atm against these sort of sides.

After about the first 15 minutes I felt they compressed right up. Their defence pushed right up and the front players dropped deep. We did well to find any space, although they did seem to give the ball away quite a bit.

I think Kieffer Moore would have been the plan B had we been drawing or losing later in the game.

I thought Dan James was excellent last night, but standing start on the touch line with two defenders in his way isn’t his game. The break where he got away on halfway and fed Brooks who couldn’t quite find Thomas was more his strength and the way Bellamy wants us to play. I think we’ll get more chance to play like that away and against the better sides.

Dan James final ball and crossing is fairly poor, rarely gets past the front man, apart from when he's playing against us obviously 🙄

Very good win, with a bit more luck we could have scored more, Connor was very lucky that he hasn't got a broken leg this morning, anymore pressure from that foul onto his leg and he could well have one, ball had gone so they both very lucky, but it should have been a red card for me.

Skopje of course remembered the earthquake in1963
Over 1000 died
Now, one of the most polluted cities in the world
Interesting melting point of cultures though
Country no doubt still telling from that horrific nightclub fire in Kocani
Protest being held against corruption there

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Hoping we have got them at the right time.
Their side has aged badly bit like the Wales rugby team but not as bad.

They lost 3.1 to Ukraine in there last game maybe we have a chance of topping the group.

Pleased to see the win and the 3rd goal being the icing on the cake.

Well done Wales.

However the amount of little flicks, one touch passes and other attempted speculative plays that went nowhere giving possession away was quite alarming.

If they'd come off we'd all be over the moon but unfortunately time after time after time they just resulted in lost possession and going nowhere.

The amount of sloppy one touch passes that were given straight to the opposition in midfield was also quite alarming and I fear that a decent side will hand Wales a hammering if this is repeated in future games.

Oh and I've no idea why there was a fair bit of whining about the penalty, from the repeated footage that I saw it looked the most stonewall penalty you'd ever see. Unless some different angles have emerged that I haven't seen would change my opinion.

Regarding the penalty. Arm virtually to your side and pointing backwards, for me it would be very, very debatable. As it was with VAR taking so long to reach a decision.

I was at the game and haven’t seen a replay of the penalty or the foul on Connor Roberts, but I 100% agree with you about the flicks and gifting possession away. Another thing that really annoyed me was the tendency to play the ball backwards when there were attacking options available, Dan James was often stood on the touchline and open for a pass but all too often it was played back across the defence and momentum lost.
All that said, it was 3 points in the bag against a very defensive team who all too often had 10 behind the ball.

It’s frustrating playing against teams who set up like that. I think it did lead to both the things you’ve mentioned

Trying to overplay with little flicks and tricks when we couldn’t see a way to play through them
Not seeing any options (James isn’t a great option if he’s free but would have nowhere to go if he got it) so recycling across the back line.

It did take a bit of edge off the game. We’re trying to play a very different game under Bellamy and it may take a while to work out how to deal with certain opposition tactics.
