Interesting that Gary O Neil 's odds have shortened dramatically. Perhaps he will be in the stands Saturday. He has a house down here, having been at Bournemouth. It could be him couldn't it. But has an affinity with Pompey. Could we get over that? Not sure it's a good idea!

Even though I have been a fan for 50 +years I was answering to what the previous poster wrote.
He/she said they’d been a fan for over 50 years .
That’s just like me.
If memory serves me right over 41 years ago I went to Fratton park in a FA Cup game, something told me with my experience that day that the animosity and hatred towards them, would be with me forever. If any Saints fan thinks otherwise then they’re a fool. He’s a skate and always will be.
No self respecting Saints fan would want to be associated with the slime trail that comes after the slug he is

I’m picking up that you really don’t like them. Personally I css as hg associate hatred with football.

His about Mick Channon and Alan Ball ?

Given his links to Pompey, the general contempt for SR and the state of the current team there'll be chants for his removal after approximately 20 minutes of his opening game!

Kept Bournemouth up.
Kept Wolves up.
Both were in the mire when he took over.
Will deal with a problem dressing room.

Couldn’t give a toss who paid him to play football.

At Bournemouth he secured Premiership safety on the backs of the three that were relegated, one of which was us.
He was sacked the next season.
At Wolves he did well the first season(they had a good squad).
In the second season he failed to win any of their first 10 games and at the end of had only won two games.
All this and the end of had problems with discipline and was quoted as saying' he had never had such a struggle to coach players'
He was sacked the next season.

I say again he celebrated when Saints lost 4-1 at Fratton saying it was a great day on the south coast.

I disagree with the ‘F*ck Gary O’Neil’ chants. He’d be great.
