| Jwp 19:40 - Jan 17 with 672 views | saint22 | Reportedly training alone at Wham after Nuno deemed him unwanted I am not a fan of bringing back old players but right now his engine and experience in the middle of the park may well be a big help | | | | |
| Jwp on 19:55 - Jan 17 with 613 views | shotters | Better than what we have currently but there are other areas in the team than need addressing before even thinking about bringing him back He's also on 125 grand a week at West Ham so we couldn't afford him even if we wanted him If we did the reaction from one poster on here would be something to behold though | |

That poster's opinion on JWP's "engine" would be fun to read. My guess is he likens it to a 1961 Triumph Herald with 235k on the clock.

There is talk that if Whammers do let him go with the salary being a stumbling block, that they'd be prepared to subsidise the salary. And IF he came here, not sure such a good idea though, they'd have to do that

The only way I could see this happening would be if we sold Shea Charles He'll be into the last year of his contract in the summer and I would be very surprised if he extends.

| Jwp on 22:53 - Jan 17 with 357 views | StAnt | JWP a slow, small, non combative midfielder is not going to help us. We need the complete opposite in terms of physique, speed and ability to tackle. | | | |
| Jwp on 08:00 - Jan 18 with 247 views | City_boy | I was a big supporter of JWP during his time here, mainly because of his dead ball skills, loyalty and leadership, but at the same time he was at the core of the slow build up and sideways/back football we want to eradicate. It's time to move on. He served us well and will be fondly remembered by most, but he is not the answer to our problems today. His wages would also be an issue, even if he did take a cut. Can you imagine the discontent amongst the 'so called' senior players, who already appear to be running the club, if he came in on higher wages ! | | | |
