Watford winning at present which os probably the better final score for us, putting them only 1 point ahead. City would be 3 points ahead and as I say that City equalise!
Yeah, I think the 2005 relegation has to be the lowest ever. as we'd been up for so long (25 plus years ish?) Yes, felt down after the Cup Semi's and Finals but they weren't totally unexpected and they are after all one off games. Relegation however is totally different. Last season's was not a surprise and being honest who thought we'd make a go of it when back up. Hand on heart not many. And when we went down to League One was disappointing but again, due to the finances and point reduction not unexpected But the 2005 was awful and was noted at work when someone tried taking the pi55 and making a joke of it to "cheer" me up. I nearly got the sack or my reaction ..........
Where did those stickers originate from. I've seen one on a cruise ship recently on a fire exit sign on the other side of the world and generally everywhere!
A lot of that is because away games are a day out and you want to have a decent time and create an atmosphere. I don't go to many away games now but when I did I sang along with the rest (possibly a few beers prior helped) and enjoyed that atmosphere as well as hopefully letting our players know that we had travelled and spent quite a few bob on them and hopefully they'd acknowledge and appreciate that and thus step up a gear Where we sit in the Kingsland there is rarely an atmosphere despite the away fans location. When they were between Northam and Itchen North we noticed the banter between fans. We don't see any of that now - just look at the gaps between the Chapel and the away's
Yes, also at both games. Nick Holmes scoring a decent goal late on to get back to 3-2 and distinctly remember him geeing others on to go for that 3rd which didn't come. Great day and atmoshere that I can remember as well, and look at that Wembley pitch!
Re the United 2017 final, that to me will always be remembered for the goal that should have been and you never know, we coud have had some silverware that year if Gabbie's goal had been given and not for Ibrahamaic getting that late winner. Great day out though
Without putting too much of a dampener on it, but their keeper should have done better with that header as well as Leo's But still, sh1t happens and we took full advantage
He did go abroad, and from memory a smallish Italian club but did very well for himself in the running of the club or something, as in not just a manager role
