Even after a ref stops play and “ warns” them , they go back and carry on
It’s simply farcical
Going off at a tangent , it’s not unlike excreable rugby referees warning front rows then take no notice , whilst the scrum half puts the ball directly at the feet of the second rows

I would support two changes:
1. After the referee blows the whistle to take the kick, he can penalize any infringements he sees before the ball is kicked.

The FA should just go back to the old ways
The pulling and wrestling would be given as a foul anywhere else on the field so give it as fouls at corners
Defenders would stop so as not to concede penalties and attackers would stop to not lose a scoring opportunity

Just let them get on with it and then penalise the offence as the ref sees it when the ball leaves the takers foot. | |
