McCarthy 8- Good distribution, good leadership, made one fantastic save in the second half. Can't really fault him for any of the goals.
Yun 7- Solid performance. Some great touches and balls, and some decent tackles. Feel in the 2nd half wobbled a bit, switched off for 1st, but not a bad performance
Onuoha 7- For the first half he was on we looked much more solid, made some fantastic dummy to get past Sterling. Solid
Dunne 6- Poor clearence for the first goal, had time to clear it, not bad at times but all three goals should have been stopped
Caulker 6- Same as Dunne really, solid at times but quite a few mistakes as well
Isla 7- Very good at RWB. Great going forward, looks really comfortable in that position, moving him to RB didn't help a lot, seemed weaker, however made some good challenges
Henry 8- Really got in the faces of Liverpool, kept the midfield organised. Should have fouled Sterling on the counter but should never have got the 1st yellow. Really looks like he is trying though
Sandro 7- Same as Henry, except it is a shame he seems to be so injury prone. Looked like a good player when on though
Fer 5- liability. Some fancy flicks and touches doesnt make you a good player. Doesn't track back, some poor passes, awful FK, not good enough for me
Austin 6- Worked hard, got into some good positions, did well with Zamora, just needs to get some more improvement to become a great Premier League ST
Zamora 9- Did the armband help? Looked a brilliant player. Held the ball wel, some great movement and passes, bullied their defence. Embarrassed Balotelli.

SUBS
Phillips 4/5- Useless, doesn't do a lot or help the team, disturbed the whole performance for me
Traore 6- didn't do much
Vargas 9- would have been 10 if on for longer, but bloody hell he looks class. Remy who? Has to start upfront.

Ridiculous assessment of Fer quite frankly... like the old Adel arguments. His touches weren't pointless, they opened up space in tight spots and made things happen for us. Not the finished article - hell of a player he'd be if and when he is - and will make mistakes for trying but not a liability in the slightest.

Totally with you on this, Fer was close to being our best player in my view, he is quality and will prove a lot on here wrong.

Fer is adding absolutely nothing to the team. What exactly is he doing out there - apart from the flash step-overs. Good free kick at the end eh ?

Nonsense. I loved a Adel and what he brought (and didn't) but Fer is poor. His first touch is weak, but his positioning and work rate are awful. If you are that good going forward, you can get away with it. He isn't. He really isn't. And he's know CM. Would have Kranjcar over him every day.

Anyway:

McCarthy 7
Yun 8
Caulker 7
Dunne 8
Onouha 10 (literally faultless in the first half)
Isla 6
Henry 8
Sandro 8
Fer 6
Austin 7
Zamora 7

Phillips 5
Traore 6
Vargas 10 (what more can you ask for?!)

I have to agree re Fer. He is too lazy and too often allows opposition midfielders to run past him in support of an attack. Whatever the criticisms of Adel his scoring and assisting rate make him worth his place.
3 players that do not deserve to be in our team are Fer, Phillips & Traore.

Wild horses couldn't drag me away...
