Honestly believe the second half kick off is one of the most crucial parts of the match. Just when everyone is getting back from their seats, after going for a piss or eating their pie, the atmosphere is usually extremely flat, with no one really ready to make noise yet. That is until the first shot, or corner. I honestly reckon whoever has the first corner of the half or first attack, has the upper hand for most of the second half. It gets the crowd on the feet, gets the momentum going. Happened on Friday, Boro with their first shot, their fans immediately a roar of "COME ONNNN" whilst we sat their still with a mouthful of pie. Reckon next game no matter what the second half should be started with a massive cheer, or a "Come on You R's", really think it makes a difference | |
