Here in Ireland, the final school exam is called the Leaving Certificate. If you say to someone who looks approximately 17/18, 'are you doing the Leaving this year?' they know exactly what you mean. Local band had a song out a number of years ago, which contained the line; 'The Leaving is easy, it's the going that's hard'.
