Our fitness Guru - Injuries - What injuries !! 13:52 - Feb 13 with 888 viewsnumptydumpty

Saw when viewing a recent QPR fans forum, our fitness and wellbeing coach introduced himself.

Injuries in last two or three seasons, we have been hit big time.

Key players out for long periods of time and sometimes almost double figures of players on the sidelines supposedly recuperating or suffering recurring issues.

Yes, results and performances have improved recently but what's happened to all our players made of glass.

Are we incorporating styles that lessen injuries and are we managing recoveries of individual players in a much more successful fashion.

Whatever, do we believe this is because of a new strategy for each individual player and the squad as a whole or is it just coincidence.

Like to believe its because we are approaching such things differently...

Point trying to make is it coincidence or is everything managed throughout the squad so much more effectively now ???

It will be interesting with Rayan Kolli in this respect; he seems to one or two injuries each season which take several months to clear up. This may have been down to the previous fitness teams handl9ng of him so once he is fit agai he can go on to fulfil his potential.

The grass is always greener.

Kolli is not really a first team squad player but the only notifiable absence.

Compared to last couple of seasons, where there has been a tragic number of crocks we had, there hopefully is a solid reason why this is currently the situation.

Long may it continue.

Guessing also we no longer have many injury concerns with psychological injuries.

Obviously the lesser spotted Taylor Richards being our only squad member now in this classification type thankfully also.

We're doing well, but we have a number of players who struggle in the three game weeks. We're putting a settled team out atm because we're only playing Saturdays. We've got two of those coming up, one now, and one start of March with West Brom H. Some really key games in amongst them so we need Cook, Clarke-Salter etc to be able to do all of them. Hayden and Andersen both come with bad injury records recently too.

Be interesting to see if certain players are rested in one of the next two games then also.
