| Alan Barnes family post 21:52 - Jan 8 with 2822 views | Barnsey | Hi everyone, my name is Jonathan, and I’m Alan Barnes’ stepson and a lifelong rangers supporter. We’ve seen the kind words and tributes beginning to circulate here, and as a family, we are deeply moved by the love shown for Alan. As many of you know, QPR was his life, and the R's community truly was his second family. Alan passed away on Wednesday at the age of 78. While we had hoped for a little more time before sharing the news publicly, we understand how much he meant to you all. He was a steadfast supporter for many decades, and Loftus Road won't feel quite the same without him. We are currently finalizing funeral and memorial arrangements. To keep things organized and ensure everyone who wants to pay their respects can do so, we’ve set up a dedicated email address for updates and tributes: Alanbarnesqprmemorial@gmail.com Thank you for your support and for being such a huge part of Alan's life. | | | | |

| Alan Barnes family post on 11:38 - Jan 9 with 2273 views | themodfather | Alan was on every LSA coach for years, many grounds were new to me, we'd chat of games played at such and such ground, i recall he was not chuffed with port vale ( not a good ground for qpr wins) on a Tuesday night . he had such knowledge of results, teams, players surely he would have won mastermind if questions were QPR related. i ran the coaches for a while and his was the first name on list ( with a few others like Bill Cox, robbie) my condolences to the family and again, RIP Alan | | | |
