So, the thing is this.
TF wanted Clem or Rowett. They said no. So, because the fans love Ollie (someone told him) he decided on Ollie. Except, once that leaked out, Twitter went mental, saying it was a backward step, isn't there anyone better, Ollie is bald, something about woofs etc.
TF, because he makes all decisions based on the Twitterati suddenly baulked and asked Les whether this was really the right decision after all? Les was at a bit of a loss, because Les has already given up trying to manage TF, much like Beard, who went clinically insane trying to manage the maverick businessman. Les thought about pointing out that they could appoint Pep Guardiola and Twitter (and our own paul 'yeah but he can he do it on a wet Tuesday in Barnsley' parker) would still erupt in fury, but he felt that would really confuse TF, particularly because destroying his utter faith in Twitter might genuinely break the Air Asia Emperor. Les also thought about pointing out how angry Marc Bircham might be that they'd offer the job and then withdraw it because some Twitter tw@t lost his sh!t over it. But what would that have mattered?
so, Les is now looking for Guus Hiddink's number, forgetting he is Chelsea scum.
