Reports of his death have apparently been greatly exaggerated

On Drama last night he was playing an old bookie/gangster in New Tricks the problem is anytime I see him in anything all I can think of is "Fag for the Corporal"

Used to come into Dad’s shop before a match during the 70’s.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

During the walk from HQ to Wembley in 86 (can't remember what for, don't remind me), as we got to the North Circular we were walking alongside a row of stationary traffic and Tony Selby was stuck in there. As far as I could tell just about every one of us (and there were hundreds) shouted some variation of "Wahey ...Tony ... Get Some In ... Fag for the Corporal ... Wahey ... Innit,Tony? ... Get Some In ... " etc. Felt really sorry for him (though I still shouted) but he sat there smiling and waving with good humour to everyone.

I am still Steve but no longer in Dagenham.
