That photo was in the Box Office for years. Belter.

Never met the man personally, but he was hugely popular for his passion for the R's, and was always highly spoken of. Condolences to all who knew and loved him.

Met him a few times over the years. Always very pleasant and always took the time to talk, even to numptys like me.

My stand out memory of him though was away to Port Vale back in 2001 (ish).

It was the game we lost 2-0 and we had a fair few thousand up there. Bit of an atmosphere outside the ground after the game, and a QPR fan of no more than 14 was bitten by a police dog as he walked past the lines of police towards the coaches.

Brian witnessed this, and stepped in to give his details to the police and the young lad as a witness. As he was giving his details a police horse leant forward and bit Brian's ear.

It was like a slapstick comedy sketch.

RIP Brian

One of the most wonderful characters I've met through QPR. His genuine affection for QPR remained resolute, instilling a love through his children and grandchildren.

When his son David contacted me yesterday with the news, I'm not ashamed to say I shed a tear. He really was one of those people who'd do anything for you.

I've known Brian for 25 years and I consider it a blessing to have known him. In 2013 I got that call we all fear, my mum had fallen seriously ill and I had to drop everything to fly back to the UK. Transpired that I would have to remain in the UK and become a full-time carer.

Mrs. PH - who remained back in Manila - and my mum suggested now that I was going to be back in London, that I should get a ST. It was the Friday before the start if the season and I called Brian up to see if there were any spare seats near him. He drops everything and 30 minutes later, QPR call me up and he's sorted it.

I had the pleasure of sitting with Brian and his family for about 18 months. Every game Brian would quietly ask: how's your mum? How's your wife? And how are you? Alas my mum's health was to get seriously worse before it got better; and if any of you have had to be a full-time carer, then you'll know just how exhausting and demanding it is. Sometimes I couldn't get to games, but when I did Brian always asked...and how are you John?

Come the 2014 POs I was unable to sort tickets out, wasn't sure I could get to the final. But Brian just sorted things out for me and picked me up in the Rowe family bus they'd hired to come down from Birmingham.

Utter pleasure to sit with him at Wembley, he was the first person I recall hugging at the end.

My mum literally bounced back from the dead, I was able to move on, but would sit with Brian and his family on trips home. Always keen to know how we were all doing.

His health deteriorated over the last few years. Last time I saw him - at QPR obviously - you could see he wasn't well. I'm just glad I got to say privately as I share here, how grateful I was for how he helped me out at a difficult time. It didn't require much from him, but it was beyond me, and Brian just quietly went about helping in his own inimitable way.

I learned when I was back over the Xmas that he was seriously ill. I hope he didn't suffer, and that he's now at rest.

My thoughts to Eva his wife, Rob, Pete, David his children and his wider family. Feel blessed to have known him.

RIP Brian, you'll be truly missed by those who love and knew you.

I first met Brian in early 1999, when he was Sales and Marketing Director, following the sudden death of my younger brother the previous December. We were proposing a game in his memory at Loftus Road and Brian made it happen. I remember we met fortnightly at the club from January through to the match day in mid-May. Brian not only gave of his time for free but gave us the stadium for free too! He also got Gary Waddock, Wayne Fereday, Warren Neil, Stan Bowles and others to turn out for the QPRXI. The game attracted nearly 2000, we raised over £10,000 for charity but most importantly it was a fitting tribute to my brother. For that our family will always be eternally grateful to Brian. A very special person.
