Agenda and Luck
at 14:35 22 May 2020

I've often thought about this and I've seen people say it, maybe jokingly. I've often meant to ask you all your opinion. So, two questions:

1) Do we think that Rangers have worse luck than the average club?
2) Do we think that there's an anti-Rangers agenda (more so against the average club)

A whatsApp debate going on at the moment between Rangers friends and we're sharing kits from other clubs that are nearly (nearly!) as nice as ours.

Here's one to start with. Rayo 2019.

The Locker Room with Chris Ramsey
at 10:55 15 May 2020

This is my first time listening to this podcast. Hosted by Ciaran Deeley and Ross Bennett, two Sports Scientists at Rangers. Episode 5 is with Ramsey. It's very long but insightful. It doesn't just deal with Sports Science but for those of us who like coaching it touiches on lots of areas - technical, tactical, physical and psychological.

Took me a few listens to get through all of it, but I really enjoyed it. Ramsey comes across as likable, and funny in a gentle way.

Any Cyclists?

The search for a new sport continues... I've bought a bike.

Basic enough bike for now as I haven't cycled much since I was a teenager.

All tips gratefully received!

Donald Trump's Baseball Career Analysed
at 09:45 8 May 2020

Light relief.

I'm a Red Sox fan and I follow this blog. It's out there but it's damn good. Even got a great name.

Anyway, here it reports on a Slate investigation into Trump's baseball 'career'. It's hysterical.

Pretend you've never heard about Trump before, and read on.

Great idea, this.

This year's Tiger Feet was called off so now we can all do the walk wherever we live and donate and spread the word.

I've watched this many times but great to see it again.

Great pace to the game. Our old boy Clive Clark was a flyer. Rodney's scored an overhead kick but disallowed.

Rangers v Grimsby League Cup 2nd Leg - Oct 1992 - Full Game
at 19:17 2 May 2020

I saw Clive retweet this. Worth skimming through just for the ending. No spoliers!

That was a bad night off the pitch.
I've never seen so many home fans looking for trouble, they were checking every car as we were stuck in traffic, we got followed down every lane and road, there was grown men and young girls all chanting 'Gregor, Gregor' calling him a coward and all that. Heard later that there was violence at the first leg. We were happy to get out of there.

Laws of the Game
at 09:35 30 Apr 2020

Shoot magazine used to have a postbag where kids would write in proposing new LOTG. Bless them, they'd propose stuff like three teams playing each other at the same time on a triangular pitch with three goals (mind you, imagine beating Chelsea and Luton on the same day!). I never knew who to feel sorrier for; the kids or the poor journo who'd have to read them and reply in a serious tone.

So anyway, when football comes back you can introduce one new rule. What is it?

A question for PP - one of the Millwall players had no shirt number or name on his shirt. Should he have been allowed on the field?

England U-21 Phil Parkes
at 22:52 21 Apr 2020

Found myself down a wormhole and came across this strange one. The site below has Parkes playing an U-21 match in 1978. As he was born in 1950 this is either a mistake or U-21 teams were allowed one or two overage players like the Olympics.

I presume it's a mistake because he also quit England after review broke a promise to him, I thought?
