Ya, eastside, definitely rumours beforehand that West Ham were bringing too many because of moody tickets in the East End.
The match report is right, though - the mood was decent that day. Except for a few minutes, I think anyway, when it went tense when they tried to put West Ham into the Loft. I seem to remember a surge forward that changed the mind of the Police. So they were all put into the Paddocks and some into the Ellserslie.
Agree also that when Hillsborough happened we all looked back at this match as one of those games where it could hahe happened. Spurs away around the same time was another where people were fainting from the crush. |

Brilliant, Mart!
I always remember being at an away youth game, up in Norwich I think, and we were playing really well, having a great season and going for the league.
We went 1-0 up.
Alan "Well, I KNOW we're going to score again so they're gonna have to score three to beat us!"
2-0 up
"Well, I KNOW we're going to score....."
And this got funnier and funnier.
8-0 up
"Well, I KNOW we're going to score....."
We were in tears. |

100% agreed (except for the bit about not going up - I;m not ready to give up on that yet!  ).
Bennie is, in the opinion of many posters who attend Dev Squad games, our best performer from that squad. We have a shed load of injuries. We have to go to him.
I get the opinion that he needs a loan, but that ship has probably sailed, at least for now. |

Not sure why we need one more keeper than we did before Walsh broke his wrist.
Maybe a loan out for one of the younger keepers? Or even Walsh? Or Nardi might be off? |

Used to go to all the youth games with Alan and his lovely crew. Then used to meet them for a few pints in the Western Arms up Ladbroke Grove.
Alan was a gent, a wise and funny man who was great company. He looked after me when I was a young fella and I'll always be thankful to him.
