College Football 21:36 - Sep 3 with 2288 views | MrSheen | Week 1, great to have it back (unless you’re a Nebraska fan). Just watched an insane game between UNC and App State, now watching Georgia torching Oregon, great atmosphere. Any other enthusiasts? Don’t really have a team, but love the rivalry, tradition and uncertainty of it, so like the Championship. Except they can’t get rid of Bama.
College Football on 21:57 - Sep 3 with 2247 views | ozranger | Been following it for decades. The amount of money involved is similar to the premier league. The Big 10 have a tv contract over 7 years worth approximately $1.8bn. While I have no allegiance to any team I follow Penn St. There's a great book I have on JoPa, rest his soul. But NW have been quite good on and off over the past few decades, so beating Nebraska was possibly not that unexpected.

JoPa...the man who turned a blind eye to players being raped by coaching staff because results were everything.

College Football on 01:03 - Sep 4 with 2157 views | B_Wad | I follow it. Cal Bears fan which is a bit like following QPR. Sad about the effect of television money. It's over 100/38 degrees here and UCLA and USC are playing in the middle of the afternoon due to television instead of early evening when a September game should be held here. Fans and players have to deal with it. Don't want to even get started on the conference defections. Still, the games and atmosphere can be fun. The bands can be great. Ohio St v Notre Dame just starting looks good. Might go to Corvallis later this season to check out a game at Oregon State. Would be quite pleased to see Alabama take a tumble.

USC might have something going with Lincoln Riley.

My usual place of business is in Cambridge, Mass. Often seen the Harvard Football Band marching through the streets around the Square and over the bridge to Alumni Stadium on their way to a game. Quintessentially elitist America, twee, but all the same, rather nice.

Lucky enough that I can walk to Ryan Field from my house. Going to take the kids to their first college football game in a few weeks with any luck, I'm sure they'll have no interest in the game itself but will hopefully enjoy the spectacle - and the tailgate beforehand.

Been on the Cal campus. Lovely place. The Golden Bears will certainly be a bit lost, as will the remnants of the Pac 12. I know what the re-alignment can be like as I wrote about the Big East demolition back some twenty years ago when Miami, BC and VaTech all left. Strangely, perhaps it came to the better for the Big East as it meant they could concentrate more on basketball and re-align themselves with the catholic schools of the east. Never actually been to a college game but have been to a Friday night HS game in Oregon. That was quite something as well. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

College Football on 04:47 - Sep 5 with 1884 views | EmpireStateRanger | Used to be my favorite sport. More than the NFL, NBA, football, etc. I've fallen out of love with it a bit for a few reasons, but working the sport for ESPN for a season and seeing how the sausage was made really dampened by enthusiasm for it. Completely taken over by $$$. Having USC, UCLA etc. in the Big Ten just makes no sense to me. But it is still completely wild. I'm happy to see a 12-team playoff, including one representative from the smaller schools (my school, Buffalo, among them), being introduced.

Sheeeeeeit, #6 Texas A&M and #8 Notre Dame lost at home to non-Power 5 teams App State and Marshall. Sacking offence except A&M resigned Jimbo to a ten year deal and ND’s coach is in his second game. Buyer’s remorse?
College Football on 21:25 - Oct 15 with 1553 views | MrSheen | Master Sheen has found me a feed for Alabama at Tennessee. What a spectacle, awesome start from the Vols, and an incredible atmosphere. If you can find it, put it on, it’s something else.

College Football on 20:51 - Dec 3 with 1237 views | MrSheen | Might mean not mean much to most on here, but TCU v Kansas State as the BigXII final in the year Texas and Oklahoma decide to slope off to the SEC is really cool. Great game, now in OT. Go Frogs! Aghhh, TCU lose. Surely they can’t put a two loss evil empire in over them? [Post edited 3 Dec 2022 21:28]

Only the highlights, much too late for me. TCU v Michigan was great though, looks like they ran out of everything after that win.
