As defeatist non-sequiturs go, that's pretty much up there in my book.
Even during the overrated up and down reign of the last incumbent, Cifuentes (correctly) pointed out it's about achieving not deserving!
All he basically has to say is we need to 'trust and believe in ourselves'! Never mind organisation, analysis, tactics, and self-reflection, presumably. It's OK, though. According to our chef, 'it's only 30% of the season'!
