Despite the lack of goals I thoroughly enjoyed our performance today, albeit against a side that went away achieving their match aims. Can’t say that there was any one player that had a poor game. It certainly was a match that had we scored early then or would have been a procession.

Stephan has certainly put a team together and it was a nice surprise to see both Lamptey and Cirkin involved although why Mbengue was taken off I don’t understand as I thought he was having a good game linking well with Poku. Lamptey for me needs more time whilst on the other side of the park Cirkin looks a great signing. If he stays fit then we have potentially the best left back in the league.

The only thing I would say about today’s performance as a concern I whether we are passing back to Charles too much for him to distribute? Also when Kamara is fit I would prefer to see Edwards back in defence as although recent enough JCS doesn’t drive forward breaking the press like Edwards does.

Early days for the squad still but I really do like what I’m seeing.
