Watching the League cup and heard that Swansea had played in Europe before by winning the Welsh cup.
Question is.....if Welsh teams are allowed in our cups why are English teams not allowed in there's ?
I was under the impression Welsh teams came under the English FA only if they are in the premier league. Cardiff therefore must still be under Welsh FA but are in English cups.

God knows, if someone said serie a or la liga was made up of 10% of clubs from other countries you wouldn't believe it, but if Cardiff come up that's what the premier league will be next year.

I think in the past teams like Shrewsbury and Oswestry have played and won the Welsh cup but were barred from representing Wales in Europe. |  | | |

That's right, but they are no longer affiliated to the FAW so that can no longer happen. It all goes through the FA now.
