I saw on fb that Tom,who used to control us yobbos in front of the loft in the 70’s and 80’s has passed away.A real shame if it’s true.
RIP to a real club legend and condolences to his family and friends.

Leicester fan

I bumped into a Leicester fan and his dad at Heathrow last night and I couldn’t resist engaging with him about Saturday’s game.He said pretty much what everyone else said and that we deserved the win and Leicester were pretty poor.He also said that he doesn’t think that Leicester will get promoted this season,which I thought was a bit strange.They’ve got more chance than 23 other teams in the championship.

I saw on fb that we’re holding a minutes applause in the 14th minute for young Ollie Raftery.I hope it all goes well.

Was anybody else listening to 5 live at about 3.30pm today?They were talking about standing up your other half and one of the replies was from a qpr supporter who left his wifeto go to a soft cell concert alone while he went to a QPR away game instead.
He said that he’d let her down but not as many times as he’d been let down by our team.

Swansea away

I’m thinking of suffering the 12 1/2 return journey to Swansea on Easter Monday and the cheapest train back is the 17.23,but the ground is 1.4 miles from the station and it will be tight to get that one.
Is it a possibility,or shallI go for the later one?TIA.

They are doing the draw for the Nations league groups now and I can’t believe that Scotland are in group while we’re in group B.
They’re in a group with Croatia,Portugal and Poland.Who was it who made the World Cup semis only 16 months ago?And who was it that didn’t get out of their group again?

He is doing the commentary for the Brizzle game on bbc1.I don’t think I’ve ever heard such a biased commentary in all my life.He spent the 1st half going on about the Bristol chairman and how he’s done so well since he started his business empire from his bedroom.Then he goes on about their FA cup ties in the early 70’s and about players from that team being in the crowd.Then he goes on to waffle about the last time they beat West Ham in 1977 and what a special atmosphere it was.
I always knew he was a brizzle fan from his time at capital radio,but does he have to drone on about them all the time instead of just commenting on what we can see?

I’m just watching SA v India test match on tv and SA were bowled out for 55 in their 1st innings,and India had reached 153-4 just after tea.They lost 6 wickets for 0 runs and were all out for 153.And it’s only day 1.
I think the Indian players would get lynched if that happens against England over the next couple of months.

Norwich away

As noted by others,there is a bus service between Billericay and witham on the day of the Norwich game,and they probably won’t be laying on extra buses,so leave a lot of extra time to get there.
You can’t go via Cambridge from kings cross because of a bus journey between Royston and Cambridge both ways.
The only way to avoid the chaos is to go via Peterborough from kings cross and change for a Norwich service.
All options will take about 2 1/2 hours,but the Peterborough option will be the better one if you book early enough.

My 6 year old grandson has just come home from school and put YouTube on our telly,and he sat there watching some bloke open packets of panini stickers.That’s 30 minutes of my life I won’t ever get back.Now we’re watching some other bloke playing fifa on the PS5.
Whatever happened to children’s imaginations if they prefer to watch this sh@t rather than actually doing it?

Qpr shop

The club sent me an email on Saturday with a code for 20% discount for my birthday and I tried to use it to buy a shirt with,but the discount wasn’t applied to the final bill.I also wanted to use my qpr cash to pay for a fair chunk of the remaining balance but that also wasn’t applied.
I sent them an email on Saturday that never got a response,but I received one today saying that my order had been dispatched.
I sent off another email today,but is there any other way of contacting them directly?Is the shop at the club the right people to contact,or are the online orders done somewhere else?

I decided to get a ticket for Lords today while I was on my way back from Southampton this morning.I wasn’t over impressed with it overall,and even some of the kids weren’t paying attention to it all.Maybe there were a lot of people who just bought tickets hoping that their franchise were going to be there.
I think I’ll stick to watching it on tv in future though.Good to see the Invicibles win at last.

Another good story

I just read an article in this month’s When Saturday comes about this years mascots race at Epsom.
One of the mascots was struggling to finish the race but another mascot and our Jude helped him over the finishing line.He obviously isn’t just a great dancer but a great credit to mascots.
