I would have to bow to your increased knowledge of the situation in the early 80's, but didn't Keegan more or less demand to leave, and did he ever play in the top flight again after he left us?? |

I believe he may be returning from his dazzling loan spell with Red Star in Ligue 2, where he has made an almighty 6 appearances.
That cash would have been rather useful for a striker now.
Unbelievable that we have sold Edwards for pretty much the same amount that we paid for this "investment". |

Some won't want to hear it, but it goes back to Brent.
He never focused on fitness, and the legacy lives on.
There is a core of senior players loyal to Brent, who Alfie House strongly alluded to last week, and they are a disease rotting away at the club.
Until they are out of the club, this problem will continue.
Stephens, Downes, Harwood-Bellis and Manning.
All of them need kicking out of the club. |

Aaron Ramsdale saved 3 penalties on Saturday for Newcastle.
There is zero chance of him returning here.
There is also zero chance of Stoke signing Bazunu for £8 million in the summer. Once Johansson is fit again, Bazunu will be back on the bench.
Bazunu's contracts expires at the end of next season, when he will leave on a free transfer.

Alfie House doesn’t have any issues with Bazunu’s attitude.
He just states that Bazunu isn’t good enough.
He says this regularly on the Total Saints Podcast. |

I see from today's Echo that we have been linked with a young Spurs striker who has been on loan at Notts County and scored 5 goals in the first-half of the season for them.
And a young Swiss centre-half who has been playing in Belgium.
Belgium??!!??
Every time we sign a player from that League they turn out to be useless (Onuachu and Djenepo are the two most recent which spring to mind).
Look, just get a target-man striker with pedigree who will score the dozen or so goals we we need to get us towards the top 6.
I have said it before the odd dozen times or so. Throw £10 million or so at Wrexham for Kieffer Moore and see if they cave in. |

They have recruited smartly for the last 5 years.
The big thing for them is that Iraola’s contract runs out in June, and he is being very coy about his future intentions.
Given that his team has regularly beaten United comfortably, you would think they would be mad not to get him in the summer. |
