Thanks Colin. I hadn't come across them before. The Dan influence is immediately recognisable, isn't it? I'd like to listen to some more. What would you say is their best album?

Wow, you're the first person I've ever met who's heard of them let alone has an album. You're the boss, Liam.

I'm a fan of Jools Guides too. I also follow John Rogers who does similar London guided walks on YouTube. Here's an old one he did of Shepherd's Bush.

1971. They started out as The Action before becoming Mighty Baby. Bam King went on to become an original member of Ace. Yeah man, they were groovy.

A nice short QPR film on Sutton here: https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2025/march/19/meeting-emmerson-sutton/

The lad has a great attitude and speaks well. Here's hoping he continues to develop and goes on to have a good career in the game.

I saw Mickey 17 yesterday. Pretty entertaining and I enjoyed the oblique quips with Trump in view. However, it's a lightweight watch and not one that'll stick in the memory for long.

"By far the most challenging season of my career!”
at 10:13 18 Mar 2025

The majority in this thread appear to feel Cifuentes will leave this summer and sadly I too can see it happening.

In the context of Nourry's modus operandi, Rsole wondered what might be next should that happen. That got me wondering, is Nourry so very different from many other football CEOs? I don't like him or the way he operates but I think others work in a similar way, perhaps more so in Europe and elsewhere.

If this is the case, and Cifuentes goes, I think there'd be plenty of potential candidates willing to work under Nourry. But, I continue to hope Cifuentes is with us for another season.

Yes, three DS games I think, none of which I've seen. Nothing said about his performances that I've seen.

An article on the lad: https://worldfootballindex.com/2025/03/esquerdinha-qprs-exciting-left-field-sign

I'm hoping to see him play for the DS at LR this Thursday.

I've just had a quick look back at some Cifuentes comments:

21.10.24
Asked if he had recently spoken to the club’s owners, he said: “I have daily communication with Christian – we are looking forward to Coventry and that’s where the focus is – and sometimes I have communication with the owners.”
https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/cifuentes-says-he-has-full-support-of-qpr-hi
That's Cifuentes himself saying he speaks with Nourry.

26.12.24
Marti Cifuentes says he is happy with QPR’s current squad as the January transfer window approaches. Rangers have identified a number of possible signings, but the head coach has indicated that he is not keen to make major changes.
https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/cifuentes-im-happy-with-my-squad
That strongly suggests Cifuentes' involvement in player recruitment.

Is this Cifuentes telling fibs or the truth?

Thanks for your response. You'll understand I can't know whether or not your posts are true. Those who claim to be ITK almost always turn out to be anything but and their reasons for doing so seem to be to just grab attention for themselves.

Nonetheless, when Cifuentes does leave your offer to 'post fully transparently' would be a very interesting read.

Can't I 'attack' an ITK and also be curious as to why things are as they are at QPR?

Unless you verify your ITK comments, I will not take them seriously.

On the recruitment issue, earlier in the season it was said that Nourry, Belk and Cifuentes were involved in signings. I agree the squad is unbalanced but I don't think that's solely down to Nourry, and I'm not a fan of his.
