Never mind, I see light at the end of the tunnel. Horse racing, the Tennis, golf and three wonderful months of not having to watch our team getting beat every other week. That alone sets me up to withstand another nine months of purgatory. |

Yeah, I prefer to remember Super Ray as a player. I’ve put the managerial part in a compartmented box never to be opened. |

Can’t remember a player manager since Trevor Francis, let’s give it a go. |

Could get lively when we play West Brom. |

What I can’t get past though, Marti’s set up gets destroyed by just about every team in the top half. It was painful watching us get torn apart today, he just doesn’t learn. |

All these flags and banners yet we used to laugh at Chelsea fans for this kind of bollocks. |

To be honest, it’s about time the club were called to account on the state of the place. |

Burnley will be absolutely rat arsed, the sort of game where we might actually beat a top ten side, eulogising over the performances of Madsen and Ashby. Wouldn’t surprise me if Marti plays a proper two up front for the first and last time either. |
 | Forum Reply | Bonkers conspiracy theory involving Man City and us at 14:35 25 Apr 2025
If there was any collusion it would probably come from the blatant dive and sending off of Derry at Man U that we lost to, 1-0. Or the ‘keep all the home gate for themselves’ that those cnts started and the subsequent money grab that is modern day football. Or the 96th minute French fella. Whatever, anything that fcks over that lot is fair do’s as far as I’m concerned. |

Larkeche would be an absolute liability at LB in this league. He had his moments going forward, that was it, but at the back you need players comfortable in the position they were signed for and he wasn’t. |

I will always maintain that we’ll be hindered having any manager with a one syllable Christian name. Neil Warnock was the outlier, but if you’ve ever heard Terry Venables Blue & White Army rolling over the Cambridgeshire flatlands on a foggy winters afternoon you’ll know what I mean. I hope Nourry takes this into account. |

When you think that six of them came as bench players, that’s not too bad really. My worry is the quality, Chair, Andersen have dropped off if anything, Kolli and Dembele we seem to struggle to know how to fit them in successfully. Big season for Martí coming. |
 | Forum Reply | Strikeforce next season.. at 08:32 23 Apr 2025
Think Marti only wants two identical centre forwards who can stand in for each other if injury strikes. Under the circumstances, Kolli better off finding another club and Kelman best hope he can be the other identical centre forward or he’ll be on his way. Guess Celar was meant to be the sub in that roll but I’m not sure I can face another season of watching him floundering about. |

I wouldn’t put money on it. Having put Fox at CB and Kolli as lone CF in the 3-0 abomination at Swansea on Boxing Day and watched the pair of them taken to the cleaners, Marti had the grand idea to do the same again. Beggars belief really. |
 | Forum Reply | Analysis of Marti's philosophy at 12:28 21 Apr 2025
Agree and hope Marti does stay, but whilst Kolli has had injuries and I’m in no way comparing him to Clive Allen or Taraabt, I do get a whiff that Marti doesn’t know how to integrate him into the side. I sense he likes players of ordinary ability that he can use the philosophy to improve their overall game but might struggle to integrate actual quality. |
 | Forum Reply | Analysis of Marti's philosophy at 08:41 21 Apr 2025
Statistically we’re 10th in terms of goals scored and 16th in terms of goals conceded. Which is peculiar as I feel we are good in defence and not so good in attack. The only explanation I can come up with is if you spend most of the time passing in your own half rather than the oppositions half then dispossession will impact the defence far more than the attack. It’s an interesting listen into the philosophy but I wonder this, if another Clive Allen suddenly came through the ranks, or indeed a Taraabt, how would Marti handle that? |
