Klopp Of The Alps
Thursday, 6th Dec 2018 21:49

The title sounds like the name of an Austrian detective series, but although it seems our new Ralph doesn't like the title, it's starting to catch on.

Klopp Of The Alps has that certain ring to it although Ralph Hasenhuttl has said he would prefer to make his own name.

"I have heard about it. I don't like it so much; I want to be my own character.

"We know each other and we were sat our FIFA pro-licence tests together.

"I was always a friend of his from football. He has a very proactive way of playing, and made a big mark in Germany. That kind of football really influenced my style.

"If I could do similar it would be fantastic for me, but that is too far away. We have other targets, goals and problems.

In the meantime though Saints fans have picked up on it and he might find he is stuck with it for a while as down here we like a snappy namephrase as Poch, CMFG, WGS, Le God and that **** Branfoot found out in the past.

Ralph might find his title shortened to just the initials KOTA though and now the search will start to find a song for our new man, already a few old ones seem to have been adopted but we need to find something a little bit more original.

Perhaps the song Eidelweiss from the Sound Of Music could be adapted.

Hasenhuttl, Hasenhuttl
Every matchday you greet me
Red & White
St Mary's Lights
You look happy to meet me

Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Hasenhuttl Hasenhuttl
Bless Southampton forever.

Other songs from the Sound Of Music are available and we could miss a great chance to start to get some stirring and original songs back in the repertoire of those who stand in the Northam.

So perhaps someone could adapt some of the other songs to welcome the Austrian to the City and make him feel at home at least until he has made his "Own Character" and is know as Hasenhuttl Of Southampton and Jurgen the German is renamed Hasenhuttl of Bootle !

But remember there are no kangaroo's in Austria !

So welcome KOTA to Southampton fist impressions look favourable.

I really hope we as Saints fans do not refer to him as Klopp of the Alps. I hope we are more original than that. Let the media make those silly comparisons. He is not Klopp and he should be judged as his own man. Personally, I am not that much of a fan of Klopp. His football is entertaining but as a person I think he is insincere.

As for showing our appreciation to our new manager - perhaps we need to start yodeling when we score or ring cowbells...…...or may be not!!!!! ;-)

I feel hopeful of this appointment. He has a big task ahead of him and we need to be realistic about our expectations. Quite what he can achieve with our defence in the short-term is difficult to imagine. Attack may be our only form of defence but then that relies on the front line radically improving their conversion rate. We may still go down and if we do, we still may need to look beyond that with him.

I am looking forward to the football under this appointment, even if, it is a roller-coaster.

He's not Klopp of the Alps, he's Hasenhuttl of the Saints!

There's a lot to like about Hasenhutti - it feels like a return to a Pochettino style. The difference being Pochettino had a stronger squad to work with - some of our squad are going to get found out very quickly!

One Klopp is one too many in my view. If we have to have a nickname then let's have our own.

"He's not Klopp of the Alps, he's Hasenhuttl of the Saints!"

... or indeed Hasenhüttl of the Saints.

It's not difficult to keep the 'u' depressed whilst pressing 2

We have to be more subtll about this...
Loving the almost unanimous chastisement of Herr Klopp Too Many too, though I was told by a skarsgit that he was universally loved, like his wonderful football team (?)

Altogether now:
"There's only one Klopp too many,
One Klopp too many,
There's only One Klopp too many"
