10v12 in the first half with Stephens bringing his 2024 game back and at fault for both goals. As a team looked slow and leggy. 2nd half better but too much to do and not enough in the final 3rd.

You hate to use the term "schoolboy errors," but here we are. Calamitous, comic defending in the first half. If we had taken our chances in the second half we could have won going away. I guess that that's the positive I'll take going forward.

Pretty awful error strewn first half but much better second half. Generally slow build up though. Not enough pace.

Jack Stephens assist for the first Watford goal was supreme, how many centre backs can hit an inch perfect volley like that to the only Watford player anywhere near our goal. For the second goal the Watford winger crossed the halfway line, Stephens was the closest defender to him, the winger ran with the ball, Stephens backed off. When the winger entered the penalty area Stephens suddenly woke up, but because he had retreated into a central position he was too far away to tackle. For those that would blame Mannings poor pass, that was on the halfway line, there was plenty of time for Stephens to make a tackle, .
