Totally agree. I 100% expected Spurs to win as they are a far better team than us but at least I expected some fight from us, not this totally pathetic performance. Now what happens 2nd half. More of the same?? |

I would rather see our players & management justify the millions of pounds they earn show an apptitudethat they at least have a small inkling as to how to play the game, absolutely skill less for 45 minutes all over the pitch.
New players with little time to train together but picking up players is a basic skill, so is not giving the ball back to the opposition at the first opportunity....

This is what happens when throw a bunch of players in and tell them to play a system but not how.
Last week I said, Traore and Simpson have absolutely no idea how to play the wing-back system. Isla already looks to have half-decent positioning but he is absolutely powder-puff.
The back 3 don't know what to do with movement of the players off Adebayor.
The wing-backs don't know when to stay or go.
The midfield three are literally chasing shadows but when they do get to a challenge they cant put their foot in. Fer looks like he hasn't a clue what to do.
The two strikers are the absolute wrong partnership when isolated. Id have been happier starting with a half-fit Zamora with Remy.
Add to this they clearly have spent all their time on shape so set-piece defending, the bread and butter for a team likely to be struggling, has been neglected. Also, when they actually do get into a promising position the technique is horrible. Remy's got vasoline over his boots by the looks of things and Matt Phillips should be ashamed of that finish. Put your sodding laces though it!

Seriously, we are playing like a team that is just slung together because we are, but that is no excuse for the lack of energy and pressure. They are wandering all over us without being challenged. You don't have to have played together for ages to be pressuring the ball. Fck Fck Fck
