Do we know how many tickets Stoke fans sold?

I'm guessing it was about 2000 so about 5500 home fans. If we could get two thirds of them back to every home game this season that would give a massive boost to the clubs finances

It would be interesting to hear from some "floaters" and wether they would return.

The guys I go with are no longer classed as floaters they are semi -regulars,if you get my meaning.

What did visitors think of the trip?

Watching on TV, the main stand looked full, The Sandy Lane End looked full and the Pearl St End looked nearly full. The attendance was announced as 7,XXX. Therefore I can only assume that their were a lot of empty seats in the Wilbuts (out of camera shot) as Spotland holds over 10K.

Stoke sold a fraction over 2,000 tickets. The remainder were 'home' supporters.

I live about four hours away so don't get to many home games but was there last night. Was chatting to a city fan whose last Spotland appearance was a pre-season friendly and he seemed keen to come back when city are playing away.

But doesn't the Wilbuts hold 3,200? Spotland holds 10,000? as a whole, so that's
1051 empty away seats.
Official attendance,: 7,500? approx.
With the stadium capacity of 10,000 that would leave approx 1,450 empty home places.
It looked much fuller than that around the 3 home sides of the ground.

Another 1000 home I recon

10 000 less the away end 3500 - we only sell 3200 as unallocated seating leaves 6500 on 3 sides.

5500 there last night so there must have been room for another 1000 or so.

300 sandy 150 main stand and 550 in Pearl I recon.

10000 capacity, 2000 stoke in a 3500 stand so that leaves 6500 home capacity. We sold around 5500 of that. 1000 empty seats? I know the 1st 4or5 rows of the Pearl St are not used so that loses a few hundred? Until we get Man Utd, Arsenal,Liverpool,Chelsea or Man City at Spotland in a cup game guess we'll never find out what the total capacity is.

Will add this to the list of fans' questions for the club which will go in via the Trust (see the Stoke tickets thread)

Anyone remember the first Man City pre-season friendly about 10/11 years ago?!
