Meanwhile, I went to Salford v Whitby today - Kickoff delayed half an hour due to the visitors arriving late and a half time rain storm, the likes of which I've never seen before. It even surpassed that night in Carlisle and managed to waterlog the pitch in five minutes. Amazingly the game kicked off again and despite puddles all over the pitch the ball never got stuck once! Proper pub match (or Celtic v Aberdeen) in the second half, and despite the absence of goals it was a good afternoon's entertainment.

The Milwall manager described the game as unattractive from both sides.
The only goal came from a long throw in.
The only threat from the Bantams came from set pieces.
Milwall should have equalised not long after the winner but the striker who was through got a Valley Parade bobble.

Possibly not the worst result as I would say it puts Bradford, Millwall and Gillingham all in reach. Before it seemed that only 6th place was up for grabs but now there are 3 teams and any one of them could have a bad run.
