No mate I was being serious. We're still in the shit with Llorente scoring occasionally. He's never been prolific whereas Batshuayi has.Llorente chips in now and again but his goals has earned us 6 points in 20 games.2 wins against Sunderland and Palace.

Neither of them have been spectacularly prolific. Llorente playing in better leagues and won a lot more, more experience.

Michy had a good season last year, albeit in a league where Gomis scores 15 goals on the regular. Ligue one players are a very mixed bag as we all know.

I think Michy is a good player but I also think Llorente could be vital in terms of experience so who knows if this would pan out for the better. That's if it's true and happens.

I'm guessing you don't appreciate where we would be without his goals, his goal threat at the very least.

I do agree about Batsuahyi though. I think it's a gamble, but probably one worth taking. He could ignite us.

Would depend which type of centre half you were.

Chelsea want Llorente as backup. They would rather have Batshuayi playing Prem games and getting used to their league than being Costas understudy. Probably makes sense for both players.

But where would we be with a decent striker??

Not in the relegation zone is my guess.

We have got one. We don't play to his strengths very often. When we do he is pretty good.

£33m players are out of our league unless we get lucky with a loan deal like this one. Who would you realistically prefer to Llorente?

Batshuayi for Llorente? on 18:48 - Jan 7 with 2886 viewsNeathJack

We could have Ian Rush or Gary Lineker in their prime and they'd struggle to score in this side with the lack of creativity.

We desperately need to add some quality out wide, on both sides, and a central midfielder who can both pick a pass and put in the hard yards as well.

I'm fed up of telling you two...

A decent striker is as much a part in creating chances as he is in finishing them.

And the way we set up, if you're going to have a striker like Llorente who has mostly just waited for things to happen for him, you'll see the whole side suffer as a result.

Hopefully this will become clear in the coming weeks.

Some do, some are just finishers. Agreed, the striker needs to get involved in the build up the way we play. He also needs to score goals.

Who would you have instead of him?

Tim, If I had an SCFC Company Credit Card i'd rack up the air miles and find us one, especially for what we're paying Llorente.

Fair comment. I do think we were spoilt with Michu and Bony though. Most strikers that create and score goals come with massive price tags. Not refreshing the players behind the front man hasn't helped as they have become accustomed to the luxury.

Under Guidolin he worked harder for the team, especially against Burnley and Hull. He did on Tuesday too. Under Bob he didn't do as much, but did score goals. Not sure which Llorente I prefer to be honest.

By create I mean hold up play mate. Not put one on his own head or someone else's

A striker just needs to have the strength, touch and nous to drop off the centre half and take it back to goal and give... keep the ball moving for us up top but with possession, the more our CF does this the more chances will come for him. A good touch and lay off high up could mean 2 passes latter he's getting it back in the box.

Llorente hasn't done this enough by far.
Siggy and he just don't connect for whatever reason
Because we don't connect up top, too often our wide men receive the ball with their defence in complete shape.
We don't get behind defences

A decent striker starts the wheels in motion

Chelsea have just recalled Nathan Ake from Boirnemouth. Can we have him please to bolster our defence?
Llorente can go in exchange, we can get someone else in up top.

Fk it. Why the heck would he go there - it's got Bony at City written all over it?

If there's any truth in this (or Zouma) I hope they don't get cup tied tomorrow.

Llorente is in a different stage of his footballing career than bony was when he left.
But that aside when a club like Chelsea or Man City comes calling, how can any player not want that?.. no matter what stage in your career you are at.

Balague has also said Conte 100% wants him because he wants players to go out on loan and Llorente fits the bill to come in (sit on the bench I guess).

I swear to God if he goes there and Michy goes to a rival club it will up there with Jenkins biggest cock ups and there's been a few.

Balague just been on SSN saying that Chelsea very keen on Llorente if they can offload Batshuayi on loan, either to Swansea or to Spain possibly.

Would be an absolute disaster. Sadly, it wouldn't even surprise me.

Unless we get Batshuayi, he should go nowhere.

It sounds like conte wants an experienced CF to come in if Costa gets injured

Batshuayi if we get him in place of llorente i suspect would bust a gut to prove to conte that he's good enough to replace costa and hopefully conte would want him playing PL football to gain the experience he needs rather going on loan to a spanish side

I'd take this deal anyday of the week, as would any Swans fan looking at the best interests of the club.

Llorente, whilst arguably being one of our better players this season still hasn't entirely lived upto initial expectations, and is not going to improve with age. Arguably though service to him has been particularly poor this season, moreso than ever.

Batshuayi would be great for us, even if just on loan for the rest of the season with Llorente going the other way permanently (since Chelsea won't be selling us this guy). To keep us in the PL this deal needs to happen !

i really like llorente a lot, but think the club could do with a player like batshuayi in an effort to add a spark going forward.

it's just not working right now with what's available. i agree that it would be criminal to allow llorente to leave and not bring in batshuayi, but adding a young player to the attack with that extra burst of pace, creative impetus, and a point to prove could just be the right ingredient.

Isn't Batshuayi going to need service as well or can be create on his own?

I think that it could be a great deal for us we are desperate for pace up top, if we can get a winger or two wing backs or whatever Clements needs to play the way he wants it could work a treat Batshuayi is class, imagine him along with Badstuper a decent CB and the same in a CM/DM and we could be cooking on gas, its a tall order though as to where we currently are would they be happy coming here.

On that thought I can't see any of it happening sadly.
