I didn’t see it so haven’t commented on the fight itself. Mine was a more general point. MMA fans are in general quite defensive. I’ve seen good MMA fights and boring ones. Same as good football matches and boring ones. Ditto cricket etc.
“TechnicalL” is one of those words pundits use when trying to find something to talk about after a deathly dull 0-0 draw. “One for the purists that one, Gary”.

It’s not quite like that in MMA, but I know where you’re coming from. Technical fights really are technical. Last nights was. The commentators don’t seem under as much pressure to gloss over boring fights, as if a fighter has a few bad ones in a row, they just release them. If a fight genuinely is shit, they pretty much say it’s shit. |  | | |

I can understand someone who is not a fan finding a grappling orientated fight boring even though the technical aspect is really good, what you need to do Darren is google and watch a couple of stand up wars and I`d be surprised if your opinion on mma did not change, maybe try these two fights Adesanya v Gastelum and Dan Henderson v Rua just watch and your reaction may very well be wow that was fcuking awesome. | | | |
