It's clear from a tactical perspective - our defensive woes stem from the lack of bite from or DCMs.. The axis of of Cameron/Amos, a great mix on paper of robust experience and emerging talent should really be dominating in the short space of pitch they are operating in. whilst nobody can fault their passing game at Championship level (bar a few bloopers) it's clear to see they simply cannot get near their man defensively. You could counter argue and say they subscribe to a the Fernandinho-esque school of rotational fouling, but at this level it's simply they haven't got the agility.
Maybe this is a partnership issue - but given the weighted balance of their talent, this shouldn't be the issue.
Solution: Build Dom Ball up to be the water carrier and prevent Eze coming deep to draw out the defence!
i'm not saying giving Manning a go in midfield is the worst idea but that makes Wallace our only left back (?) and we can't rely on him to play every game
