The Athletic is reporting that "a senior member of the Abu Dhabi royal family who recently failed with high-profile bids for Liverpool and Newcastle United is interested in a Derby County takeover."
This is what I find strange about QPR fans who think that we aren't an attractive prospect for a takeover. The fanbase at large seems to have accepted this idea that we're a non-league minnow or something, whereas we're actually a London club who are only one step away from the Premier League.*
There you go. They don't show The Flintstones in Oman, but Abu Dhabi Do.

EFL will approve it to stick one in the eye to the FA.
If it goes ahead, then Ashley will have more ammo in his court case against the FA. Also prevents Derby from going bust, for the EFL this is a win-win. So, they will defo approve it.
With that money, Derby can, of course, use many loopholes to get into the Prem and then the FA will have to endure an owner they did not want. Another reason the EFL will approve of them.
Should the FA reject someone else in the future, the EFL will approach them with this pathway as a way to keep sticking it to the FA and also get more money into the EFL.
Can't buy a Prem club? Buy a Champ one and get there 1-2 years later. Derby is a risk, but say if you bought someone like Bournemouth or Watford. Less of a risk that.
Derby are actively looking for new owners, we're not.
Derby are a bigger club than us, bigger fan base etc and if you look at the clubs available for a takeover in the Championship and Premier League then Derby are one of the more attractive options.
There's no guarantee a new owner will be any better than what we've got.
Millwall are a London club who are only one step away from the Premier League too, so what.
We're a loss making medium sized club with a small outdated stadium and little current scope for growth as a club competing locally with some of the biggest clubs in the country. We're not a particularly attractive prospect.
