Attitude and effort 100% and he played a full part up front, in midfield and at the back. I was hoping he was going to take the shot on when he was 20 yards out late on, but if he had and it had gone in, a fair few of us would have been in A&E shortly afterwards.

| Ball on 23:56 - Aug 21 by simmo | Due to train issues and having my son with me I was early to the ground today for the first time in ages, so got to see the players going through their pre match drills. Dom Ball caught my eye - he was doing Rondos with a few others, Dozzell, Thomas among them, and everytime it broke down it was Ball with a heavy touch, misplaced pass, etc. The others were almost immaculate in comparison. Then he comes on after half hour, with the aforementioned Dozzell and Thomas looking well out their depth, and completely changes the tempo and application of the team, swinging things back in our favour. That sums him up for me... Others are more proficient, especially with the ball. He's not the most technical, he will occasionally over play with his head writing cheques his feet can't cash, but 'hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard' is basically about Dom Ball - and he's bloody likeable with it. A superb squad player and becoming more and more someone we can trust to do a job for us. Credit where its due [Post edited 22 Aug 2021 1:30]

| Ball on 17:38 - Aug 21 by Benny_the_Ball | Field was decent during the second half of last season and struck a decent understanding with Stefan. In any event, it's not about whether Field is better than Ball or vica-versa. It's about having good options in the central midfield because injuries and suspensions will take their toll in a demanding league. [Post edited 21 Aug 2021 18:03]

OK, point taken......thought you were saying that Field is better than Ball.
