Anyone offering us where we are now this time last year, would have had their hands bitten off.

That which is within our control to improve is more a case of tweaking than open heart surgery. We cannot control injuries, but in terms of the next transfer window, I don’t think this club has displayed as much competence and savviness since the Venables era. Credit to them.

I think we’re well placed and while a bit more pace would be nice, there’s enough in the locker to work with.
