Not going to make it all about them but last night was carnage. Took a neutral and by the end we were just laughing. Decisions being made by raffle.

Might as well save the money on the Ellerslie lino's in future as they look to the ref for everything.

The Bowler on Amos was a shocker.

Sexy Asian dwarves wanted.

blackpool put in 3 early thunderous challenges, the ref gave fouls and this may have led to bad feeling as only the last of them got a booking, james? but sanderson reacted and got a red. if the ref sets a standard of ignoring ,players will use it and we have fallen foul of it many times this season! the ref standard is very poor.

I'd agree the officials were better than Saturday's, but we surely don't want that standard to be a benchmark by which all other officiating is judged.

It's really come down now to two issues for me, consistency and competency. No problem with Seny's yellow, as long as it happens every week in every game and we all no without question it doesn't. No problem with giving the benefit of doubt to attackers in offside calls, as long as it happens every time, but it doesn't. This really isn't the sort of thing that should be difficult to do. Mistakes will be made, but players and fans alike will recognise why.

Competency, I know many don't like VAR, but actually, if linos can't apply a consistent policy regards how they officiate offside calls, then what is the point of them anymore? They won't give throw in decisions unless they are clear cut, they defer to the ref all the time in those instances. In the great scheme of things, VAR gives Charlie's goal against West Brom as offside, and Albert's on Saturday as on, and we're no better off points wise, but if you know you're getting the right decision, that's something I can readily accept.

I will say that Bowler’s foul on Amos was a red. Amos would have been clear through on goal otherwise despite still being 45 or so yards from goal as his pace meant that nobody would have got close to him. In addition to that it was a high and reckless challenge.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

That didn't worry me at all. The chances of a goalkeeper getting two yellows for timewasting are very remote.

I think it gave him licence to take all the time in the world!

I agree. Yellow cards for time-wasting by keepers are essentially performative. They're mainly for the benefit of the other 20 players. It's an indirect warning to the team as a whole not play silly bu**ers because their yellow for the same offence might be followed by a second for something else.

Memory is a bit wonky, but wasn't the Northern Ireland keeper sent off for two yellows for time wasting, I think it happened quite early in game as well?

Perhaps six months ago?

Don't think it was the keeper. My memory, ha ha, tells me the second was for taking too long over a throw in. The first might have been for the same thing.
