Yeah, never quite had the material to be where they belonged, at the top. Loved their sound when I was a kid, right up there with T.Rex, Sabbath and Quo in my young teenage years.
When I heard that AC/DC were looking for a singer, then that they'd found someone, I immediately thought of Macafferty, but I don't think they ever approached him.
