No Excuses Mike- Huddersfield were a poor side. 22:14 - Nov 8 with 10573 viewsextratimeR

I don't have any problems with Mike Beale but don't give me any excuses tonight Mike for not getting a result against Huddersfield.

Salter Peters is not being selected on ability, his first half performance lacked leadership.

Nobody attacking the ball from either of the two Central Defenders?

I think we really fortunate to have a Coach of your quality at the club, but tonight was not god enough.

That Sheff Utd result was truly bizarre. Think a lot of teams(us included) underestimate Rotherham. They are having a good season...so far.

They've got that awkward streak in them this time which means they're picking up the odd result away from home - something they weren't able to do on their previous trips to this division. They went two seasons winning only one away game previously - naturally that was against us.

Well I agree with this, and Antti's post (sorry things are sht for you atm mate), even though I'm probably one of the 'vitriol' posters on this thread.

There are a few reasons that all came together at once to make Tuesday feel more frustrating than normal - and I say this while agreeing with you that they're certainly trying, in fact a couple of them are trying too hard if anything, so you can forgive a lot.

1 The refereeing was a big part of it, and the fact that having been 1-0 up and then conceded two off set pieces we left ourselves open to them and him doing that.
2 The missed opportunity. Huddersfield, this Huddersfield, at home with a one goal head start, how do you like them?
3 Huddersfield were/are crap. They were wide open. West Brom fair enough I thought they looked decent and are in a false position, Huddersfield are dire. They lost their best players in the summer, they had 10 others injured, they conceded after the first minute. I just cannot get my head around how you lose from there.
4 The stupidity of some of the stuff we did. The amount of times Chair, Willock or Albert held on and held on and held on, tried to dribble around three, four, five opponents, trying to shoot themselves, shooting from every greater distance out. The one in the first half where we cut a ball back from the byline into a prime shooting place and there was nobody there, then in the second half we do the same thing and Chair and Tim tackle each other.
5 The little 1% bits. The chance in the first minute they had is from Chair trying a fancy, no look, flick pass in his own half to begin the game. That's poor. I like Ilias but stuff like that doesn't impress me at all, oh it's only Huddersfield we'll be alright. Tim walking after that ball second half as it drifted out for a Hudds corner, presumably he thought it was a goal kick, which of course they nearly scored from because it's a bloody corner. You've got to be more switched on and concentrated than that, and we weren't.

I'm not saying it's the worst defeat ever, worst performance, not trying, don't care, because I don't believe any of that. But I was annoyed, more annoyed than usual, afterwards and I don't blame other people for feeling that way. People can trot out "no easy games in the Championship" if they like but that's as easy as they do come, and if we'd played properly, if we'd played as we did against another crap side in Cardiff, we'd have won 3-0, 4-0.

Sums up my feelings perfectly. We must be one of the most frustrating football clubs to follow 🤔😉

Not going to argue with any of that Clive. All fair points.
