Didn't they need to pull 22,000 crowds in League One to cover the rent?

I can't think there is any chance of any Championship club.paying more than that in rent.

I think they needed 20k to break even, an average attendance they've only achieved four times in the last forty years (their last three years in the Prem and in 1983/84). They were originally meant to own 50% of the stadium, the revenue from which would have more than covered the rent and then some but this was sold on before the stadium was built so they were pretty much running at a loss from the word go.
