The blame game has come to an end.
We now have a bright future and a new coaching team.

Let’s concentrate on the positives for a bit.

We have a great feature on Williams in the morning from Trystan.

Onwards !

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Reasons to be cheerful (part 1)

a) New up beat manager
b) injured players returning Allen, Azeem, Mykola, Wood.
c) Loan players doing pretty good and settled.
d) Fourth round FA cup
e) One possible two or three new signings
f) Good spell under Sheehan where a slump could have happened
g) Sheehan and Margetson staying on. (easier transition)
h) Emergence of Sam Parker with pace.
i) Pitch in good nick
j) Academy teams doing above average.
k) Finances under control
l) Possible new money sell on clauses Piroe Whittaker Rodon?

Agree absolutely Keith.
Time for us all to stick together and get behind the team.
We have a very difficult run of fixtures coming up and it's likely it won't all be plain sailing.
We need to look at the bigger picture.
Hopefully given time we will see our identity back.

Talk of 3 or 4 signing, do we need that? I'd settle for Longstaff
I like the cut of Williams' jib

morning I think everyone was and is behind the team, it the people across the water that has been the problem, but lets hope that we can go forwards together i agree but that means everyon including the owners
this new manager is a breath of fresh air i think and with all pulling the same rope we could yet get to near the play offs

You forgot to mention Pedersen return from injury, I quite like what I've seen of him, he seems to gets a lot closer to wingers give them little time to turn and run at him, reads the game well and gets the ball forward quick while offering himself for the return ball further up the pitch.
You could also see him getting frustrated when no one was offering themselves to move into the space created in the middle and having to go backward instead of maintaining the forward momentum. If we are moving the ball quicker from one side to other them there has to be enough movement in the middle of the park whether players move up into the hole left or dropping deep into it while keeping cover in defence and an attacking threat up front. Players should be able to adapt to changing formations required to maintain the tactical advantage with the right coaching and team selection.

The loss of players to injury and exiting player being replaced too late in a transfer window has hampered us badly this season.

Nice to see our young academy players getting into the team with positive results, they will make mistakes and we will complain about those mistakes if you take the
like of Guehi and Connor Gallagher they needed time to develop fully, even the likes of Cundle , who I liked in the right team, seems to be developing nicely. Our young players who have the capacity to learn off experienced players, work hard and are helped by good coaches is a must to the keep the strength of the squad ebbing away.

Fair do's to Sheehan as a Manager his hand may have forced by injury and sickness in the camp but he had found someone who has made a difference, was he helped by returning players from injury in the busy Christmas period, yes but long may it continue under Luke Williams.

I think, if we can we should get 2-3 players with pace in. We need more pace.

30+ days to appoint a second/third choice manager from two leagues below is still not great from the owners. I do wonder if people are more relieved at an appointment after such a wait rather than the actual appointment.

Williams seems a knowledgeable and likeable chap but I’m reserving judgement until we’re a couple of months in. It’s a big step up for him two leagues up without such a strong squad/talisman as he’s had at County.

Relieved is an apposite word.
Looked like nobody would come to us
It didn’t look good
It dragged on
We will see.
