Our season ticket prices are still lower then Bournemouth's. Pricing is largely determined by supply and demand, so the smaller the ground in relation to the size of the fanbase, the higher the ticket prices. Demand at St Mary's was also exceptionally high in 2016/17 due to recent success, which is another factor. We begin next season on a high after the Wembley victory so you'd expect most home games to be sold out.
What the Club don't want right now is overheating i.e. demand massively exceeding supply and causing frustration and disaffection in the fanbase, which with last season's ticket prices they probably would have got, and they are not yet anywhere near ready to expand the stadium so prices will be used to regulate demand. I am guessing this will be where the Club make reference to the cost of implementing the improved wi-fi.
Which I believe was at the time championed by them as being an example of enhancing the customer experience (sigh….) and responding to feedback from fans (double sigh…..) |
Bügger the wi-fi then, would prefer to get the plebs off their phones completely so they can fully immerse themselves in the ‘Saints’ football experience.

seem to remember when all the tv money came there was a fear that it would effect crowds,however we were assured that the tv money would enable clubs to make live football very affordable then the clubs realised they could have there cake and eat it and the rest is as they say history. |  | | |
