Exactly. Still…he’ll go down in history as the first Archbishop made to resign in a thousand years. I wonder how historians will view him. In my opinion he should never be forgotten along with the reasons he had to resign and the apparent lack of compassion shown to the victims by the church.
I also wonder where things go from here regarding any potential future investigations by the relevant authorities. Either way in my personal opinion Welby is no man of the cloth after this. | | | |
