Ive said it before - If he had played the whole season, he would easily get you 10-15 goals a season in the premiership.

When you play to players' strengths, you get results, quick ball forward first time cross into the box players in space simple.

No chance. He wouldn't get anywhere near 15 Premier League goals in a good side, let alone ours.

Have to agree.

His ball control ranges from erratic to non-existent.

No bad thing him getting a few goals now if it means we can get a half-decent fee for him in the summer, mind.

4 goals in 9 starts is not bad.

Holds the ball up well and a presence that keeps the opposition defenders busy.

Sorry can't agree, I think he's slow and lazy, he won/held up very few balls last night and his goal was lucky, free header in the middle of goal and it just squeezes in thanks to poor goal keeping, maybe I saw a different game as I've just got no enthusiasm left. Not helped when our best player on the night is then substituted at a very crucial time defending a lead going in to additional time? Tall Paul can follow Ivan the Terrible out of our club.

Agreed, maybe 15 is excessive but he'd likely score more than Che Adams , and most fans would agree he was our best striker since Ings departed.

We simply play better with him in the side as he's a focal point and an outlet.

He is a focal point and an outlet, but that's pretty much all down to his size, not his ability. His touch is minging, he can't shoot, his decision making is poor, he runs out of gas quicker than anyone and despite his size, he's pretty crap in the air.

A player like that shouldn't be anywhere near a Premier League team and the fact he is sums up perfectly how low we've sunk .

Flynn Downes played well last night. In fact they all put in effort apart from Dibling .

That's a bit harsh.
He's the best striker we've got so give him a break.

The point I was making is that although Tall Paul might not be Premier lge class.
But unfortunately he is the best we have & if he's still with us next season he'll score for fun in Championship.
Yes, that is where we are.

I would think he has a chance of being picked up as an impact sub for another prem club.

David Brent used to use him as an impact sub.

And then pass the ball sideways and backwards for the rest of the game so that he never got near the ball.

Would he get in any other Prem team starting XI ?

A resounding Definitely Not !!

He did well last night, worked hard and took his goal well.

However, he always looks absolutely knackered the longer the game goes on, and starts drifting out of the game,

For 91 minutes, he gave Saints fans something to cheer about.

Very few Centre Forwards charge about for 90 minutes.
I was watching Haaland the other day and you couldn't say he was charging about much.
Before the 'but Haaland is a far better player'comments I know he is a far better player but he has a very talented team around him to assist him.
Tall Paul played his part last night and scored a goal.
I hope he is with us next season with a better team around him.

I quite like him. He's a bit clumsy, but he does run about, sometimes in a very clumsy manner, but it's still enough for the opposition to be wary. He has a great header on him, he towers above the defenders. Put a good cross into the box to his head and he always tests the keeper. His attitude is good. Compare to Dibling who just sulks, and Archer who just gets bullied, Tall Paul is our best option.
