We pressed high at times and blocked the path through the midfield against Oxford which also prevented them getting play down the inside channels to try creating space for their wingers or getting in behind our defensive line.

Not too sure of Yalcouyé bit of a loose cannon, and runs out of steam and think we have our own players in his position so why persist with him rather than our own. Fulton does a job always has, the team looked strong against Oxford may not have the best players on the pitch initially but we made chances and limited Oxford to only a handful. Wouldn't want to see team selection become too predictable and think Widell will start although after seeing him bust a gut at speed relatively late in the game,to get back to cover from the edge of their box to the edge of ours to help the defences out is hard work and recovery time is needed, so would happy to start with him but see Yalcouyé come on early in the second half. Every player has different fitness levels, the championship is as we all know a beast of a competition, we as fans dont see the players in training, we dont know how fit our players are.
To be competitive in the championship you have to have a strong fit squad to keep up the intensity, certain players can only play a certain amount of minutes with the intensity that is needed, so these players minutes will have to be managed carefully.
Vip could play 90 minutes but his level of intensity will probably drop, especially if he plays 3 games in 8 days, thats why squad rotation is key, especially for us at the moment.
This is the reason why ronald gets alot of minutes as he has a massive engine, even though hes an average winger, whereas inoussa cannot play a full game because his engine isnt as big. |  | | |

I don’t think Cullen really cuts it as a direct replacement to be honest. Not that he can’t play up front, but we’d have to adapt the way we play and almost have a fluid front three swapping positions.
Both Vipotnik and Idah have been asked to take balls on their chest with centre backs on them and link play. That just isn’t his game. We’d have to pass our way through and be less direct.
We desperately need Idah back soon to take some of the workload | | | |

Spot on , West Brom showed how good they can be in the 2nd half at their place and are very dangerous from set pieces but showed in the first half how vulnerable they can be if a team goes at them

These new owners seem to be up for it so if ws get an offer it will be pittance, the club will reject it.
They wont want to sell our second most valuable asset, now if the previous owners were still here, vip will go for 5 million.

WBA was a freak result and should have been avoided. We were 2-0 up at halftime, they were at home and it was obvious they would go all out for us in the second half, four changes at halftime confirmed this. We should have shut the game down for 15-20 minutes, we didn't and they were level after seven minutes. A harsh lesson for Matos that hopefully he would have learnt from. The Championship is an unforgiving league and you take nothing for granted. | | | |

I expect a £10M offer to come in for Vipotnik in January, how early it will be who knows. The club have stated that every player has a price and if that is met they will be sold. Vipotnik and Galbraith are a real concern, although I expect Galbraith to go in the summer. | | | |

If it’s six weeks, we need to look at a loan IMO. Doesn’t have to be a world beater, a promising PL youngster who will be guaranteed minutes or a journeyman who can just take a bit of pressure off would do.
Two managers have looked at Wales and not really thought he was ready. He may get a chance and prove them wrong. Similar to Cullen though, I’m not sure he’s physically suited to the role our strikers have been playing | | | |

It’s Cullen or Wales. I assume we’ll have worked on those scenarios, but it’s not ideal.
Even if he doesn’t get injured, he’s not going to be at his peak if he has to play 90 minutes three times in less than a week. | | | |
