It started snowing here about 30 mins ago, not expected to end until sometime Tuesday. My immediate area is in the 18"/24" band, with a definite over 20" being forecast. We start work at 4am tomorrow (have a snow clearance crew), thank gawd it's powder.

Got about 10 inches followed by freezing rain.
Brought a snow blower 8 yrs ago and never needed it. New experience for me going up and down the street today. My god it’s fing cold as well.
Apparently you can get sued if you don’t clear outside your property and someone hurts themselves. Strewth..

Are you sure some scumbag can sue if they "fall '' on snow or ice that sounds like a very dangerous precedent just a State law maybe ?. 2 weekends in a row here savage cold (-40 below yesterday with wind chill )but only 5 or 6 inches so far. Southern states probably have no salt trucks or heavy equipment it should be pretty hairy there tomorrow . At least this blizzard made us forget QPR blowing that game

Slip and fall due to weather is a common lawsuit in Massachusetts - sometimes even inside. Many communities have bylaws mandating clearance within a certain time period after the storm has ended. And yes, property owners are responsible for any abutting public walkway. Fortunately, the town I live in does not have any regulation, but as I type, I have a crew clearing and spreading ice melt in Cambridge, Ma.
