It could go either way, of course, unless it doesn't. I don't foresee anything more than a score draw at best, provided they don't score more than one. So not very hopeful, I guess.

Poll: A little over halfway through the season, where do you see us finishing?

I can't quite get up for this one yet, I'm still empty from the Wrexham ending...

At least I can justifiably expect the worst here, although it's often these kind of games we do well in....

Be very QPR to win this 1-0. Jimmy Dunne off a corner, backs to the wall, 12 minutes of stoppage time.

I looked on their forum out of curiosity and some on there are having a meltdown and predicting that we are going to beat them probably with a Obikwu hat-trick. I would be amused to see that but given their wobble and our predictable unpredictablity it's probably going to be scrappy couple of goals either way and a wailing and gnashing of the teeth on the losing sides forum.

TBF it was the same on here January of our promotion campaign. We lost three times over Christmas (Watford H, Leeds A, Norwich A), Mackie broke his leg at Blackburn, we were poor in a 0-0 at Burnley, the mood was "we're going to blow it".

We then did exactly what Cov have done, go out and add a few Esse/Routledge types and cruise off into the distance.

Just come on here to say the exact same thing. For a team eight points clear of 3rd and playing against a team they beat 7-1 in the reverse fixture, they sound more pessimistic than some QPR fans under Ainsworth.

I personally find it very strange, but they have had their fair share of agonising Premier League promotion attempts, so letting it slip from their position in December would be pretty disastrous.

i think it was Holloway Ranger - the raving lunatic with the lesbians - who was absolutely positively convinced that Swansea would end up on 92 points and was all over the message board like Paul Revere ' SWANSEA ARE COMING!'

Can we not knock it?

TBF they got to a play-off final and lost on penalties to Luton Town.
They came back from three down in an FA Cup semi-final against Man Utd, scored a last minute winner, had it disgracefully removed by VAR, then lost on penalties again.
They beasted Sunderland over two legs and lost in the last minute of the first game with a dodgy back pass and the last minute of the second leg to Dan Ballard's header.

I'd never leave the house. No amount of therapy would suffice.

TBF even the late Pomanju, not a poster prone to hyperbole, said we were going to blow it unless we basically bought a whole new team in January.

True, and barring the obvious anomaly (guess who), you'd be pretty gutted to miss out on promotion after such a strong start to the season.

Hope he's right about Rudoni being injured.
From the match preview...

- Jack Rudoni has scored more (four) and assisted more (four) goals against QPR than any other opponent. Those eight goal involvements have come in just seven appearances for Huddersfield and Coventry. He is unbeaten across those appearances – W4 D3.

Quite.

Fat Frank aside, given what you mention I think they deserve another go in the Prem, I mean it's been long enough.

Poll: How old is everyone on here?

Yeh few fanbases have been through the ringer quite as much as this lot. They were playing League Two football at Northampton fairly recently.

As if that should get them a sympathy vote.

I'm not expecting it, but it would be very QPR, as Clive said, to shake off last week's disappointment and the previous result against them, and go out and win..

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." I would like them to be promoted along with Millwall if possible just so the Premiership can suffer them for a season and probably have a meltdown about it and a thousand newspaper articles written about the hordes of hooligans about to descend and destroy their paradise.

I'm a little less rich in years than some here but I don't actually remember being at all concerned about us not being promoted as it just felt kinda inevitable? Although reading Warnocks book makes it clear it was anything but.
