He will be gone before the end of June in my opinion. Several clubs will match a low release fee, double his wages plus give him £1M plus signing on fee. As soon as the release fee is offered we have to allow Galbraith to talk to the other clubs and wages will be a formality, we have to learn and move on. Our only hope is a new DoF comes in immediately and can sort out the mess, Gorringe is out of his depth, I only hope the contracts of other signings are water tight. |

If he goes so be it, we had so many inexperienced talented young players come in last season , some haven't been given a chance or been able to get up to speed, he is a good player of course but because of the lack good experience or cover in the team it has slowed his possible development and his injury has given Matos time to assess various other options, the hope is to built a better squad with a style of play that gets us points while also being up on par with the Premier League if promotion is achieveable. | | | |

Happy to have a run from deep but how many times isn't the ball released before the defending hordes close players down, I remember a couple of seasons back we had the pairing of Abdulai at right back and Parker as a wingback, Abdulai looked impressive striding from deep but soon got closed down which meant Parker never saw the ball, the pairing was never seen again, we see similar play between Key and Ronald sometimes you need to get
get the ball forward first and then join the attack with the return ball from the winger who has steps off the fullback while dragging the defending fullback out of position, as you say the ball is moved quicker and forward momentum can be gained further up the park. Idah pulls his defenders all over the place which is as it should be coming onto the ball is so much easier than trying to dribble from deep.

Depends who is doing the moving. If it's Stamenic then I disagree. Galbraith shifts the ball out of the back a hell of a lot quicker than he does. Fulton's got a bit more zip in possession but doesn't have the range of passing or ability to run with it than Galbraith does.
Running with the ball if that's the best option to break the lines is a skill we haven't really possessed since Leroy Fer, and it's one that we've badly missed. All our better teams had one. Players like Pratley and De Guzman. Players who could flip defence into attack just by driving into space instead of looking for a needless pass.
Ntcham could do it but Dimwit liked playing him on the wing. Galbraith has a lot of the same qualities IMO, and it'd be a shame to lose him. |  |
