They're too busy being PC to see the reality.

Part of the reality though is what religion has done to the world. Look at all the different religions and their different sects then just look at the "right wing christians" in the USA.

And they are too dumb to even realise there are no gods. They are that desperate to believe in something instead of just believing in themselves. You don't need religion to be a good person.
