Went in the mid eighties, kicked shit out of some knobber in a straw hat and striped blazer for saying " look at that plonker wearing jeans". The girl I was was with who had literally forced me to go against my wishes was none to happy either.

I've been a couple of times, on the Saturday not really seen much rowing, mate got us on the Henley cricket pitch and got totally smashed both times

I rowed there in the early eighties and still a member of stewards enclosure. I like the rowing, but the social aspect is good too . A very quintessential english event on the summer calender. Best days for showing off are Saturday/Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday for rowing enthusiasts.
Observe the dress code in the enclosure, they are VERY strict. |  |
