Back in the day you could as me a team and position and I could name the player. Sad I know but Match would give you all the team line ups and this was before the internet!

No, it just annoys me that people reckon to have this superior knowledge of players when it is blatantly obvious it is gained from hours in front of their computer, and to top it all they then seek credit for such knowledge. It shouldn't annoy me I realise that, but the amount of names that are banded about on here that people can only have any inkling of their greatness from something other than watching them in the flesh themselves! |

Ben Smith played the first half of the season for Shrewsbury in their promotion season and has played more than your average back up keepers for the likes of Doncaster Rovers and Lincoln and was on loan at Morecambe as well. This told me he was worth a look.
Iain Turner has been a big prospect since being a kid at Everton and has played for many sides further up the Football League than ourselves over the years on loan. That told me was worth a look.
If this annoys you, I apologise from the bottom of my soul, really.

If you really do have such a knowledge of lower league football players by witnessing their performances then I salute you! Bravo old chap.
I personally watch quite a few Dale games, I have no inclination to watch other lower league football games unless they are on the tv. Chaff well done on you to have accumilated so much knowledge on our opposition, well done you.

I remember subscribing to Daleplayer in 2005 and recieving Football Manager as a bonus and learning loads about players and thinking I knew how good all these players were.... Alan Navaro was one, I remember thinking we were in for him and thinking that he was fab,then realising my only knowledge was of him was on the computer!!!!
